Photoshop and Paramore

Alternatives.

It has been three months since I started tinkering with my illegal copy of Adobe Photoshop CS2. I started by making minor changes in my pictures, soon I was willingly editing pictures of my friends, creating wallpapers for my desktop, and making icons, backgrounds, and mini-layouts for my blog page and Friendster profile page. I just shows that passion for what you do boosts your creativity.

I was inspired by my girlfriend. She used to be an addict in blogging, especially in making layouts and icons. She used to consult for my opinion regarding her works, not because I was good in art, but because she sought to it that she made me happy with her works. Her passion for creativity was partially encouraged by my happiness.

And this is also why I am now into photo-editing and blogging.

Every time I would show her my works, she tells me that I am starting to follow her footsteps and eventually I will be good at what I do. I can feel that she is also happy with what I do, and the works that I have shown her. This makes me happy, and at the same time, complete.

Today, I started exploring DeviantArt, and its features.

Though I have created my account weeks ago, it was only today that I have uploaded all my finished works. Someone placed a comment on this picture minutes after I finished uploading everything.

He said that he liked the 'glow' of the picture. I was surprised because I did not have an idea that other people can comment on your works, really.

Thanks to Photoshop, I now have a new hobby, and a good alternative to late 'online gaming'.

Paramore.

Lately I have been listening to this band from Franklin, Tennessee.

Paramore, a rock band composed of a redhead female vocalist, a lead guitarist who can do a decent backup vocals, a drummer who wears red shorts in their latest video, and a bassist who can play a very good bass line. Their record label, FueledByRamen, gave birth to this band way back year 2004.

The band caught my eye(and ears) because of Hayley Williams, the redhead vocalist who can sing in very high notes. She is also capable of writing good songs, and if you check their concert videos in YouTube, you can definitely say that she can turn the crowd into a party.

Noted for their famous chart-topping songs like Emergency, Pressure, and My Heart from their debut album All We Know Is Falling, Paramore was an instant hit in North America and other countries.

RIOT!, their upcoming album to be released in June 12, is something that I am really looking forward to. The sad thing is that, they do not distribute Paramore albums here in the Philippines. It feels so bad that it makes me angry. I will probably just ask my cousin to buy me one.

I have been frequently visiting ParamoreForums.net, a community of fans sharing whatever they can about Paramore. I met a couple of Filipinos; I wish more would support Paramore.

I love their music, and I cannot wait to have their albums!
